WALK / RUN
Exploring on foot is one of the best ways to discover our region and we have a range of trails to suit everyone. Walking is an all-year-round activity and a fantastic way to see the ever-changing landscapes of our region.
The Southern Forests and Valleys region has an array of walk trails that offer the opportunity to explore native bushland, tall forests, sandy beaches, rocky escarpments and tranquil waterfalls. There’s no better way to discover the splendour and natural beauty of our region.
In Winter the rivers and waterfalls are at their peak and in Spring the wildflowers bring colour and excitement to the undergrowth. Wildlife can be observed all year around and, depending on where you go, you can explore the history and heritage of our towns on one of several easy walk pathways and trails.
