About This Walk
The Bridgetown Jarrah Forest Ride is a rewarding 40-kilometre loop through ancient stands of jarrah trees just outside Bridgetown. The ride begins with a steady climb, winding through towering jarrah forest before descending along a series of meandering gravel paths with wide valley views.
The trail is popular with gravel and cross-country (XC) riders, offering an immersive bush setting with the earthy scent of eucalyptus and the sounds of birdsong. The route passes through the Blackwood River Valley's characteristic undulating hills, with a mix of gravel backroads and forest tracks.
The region around Bridgetown offers varied terrain for road cyclists, gravel riders, and mountain bikers alike. After the ride, the charming Bridgetown township offers cafes, restaurants, and craft breweries for a well-earned recovery meal by the Blackwood River.
