Nannup Bridle Trails
Trail Town for Horses Too
About This Walk
Nannup, officially recognised as a Trail Town, is not just a paradise for walkers and mountain bikers β it's also one of the best horse riding destinations in WA's South West. The town and surrounding forests offer a network of bridle trails through jarrah and karri forest, along the Blackwood River, and across scenic farmland.
The trails connect into the Warren Blackwood Stock Route, giving riders the option of short day rides or linking into the longer 345km route. The terrain is varied, from gentle riverside paths suitable for novice riders to more challenging forest tracks that wind through undulating timbered hills.
Horse riding tour operators are available within an hour's drive, including Lucieville Farm Chalets in Bridgetown (45 minutes) and Jesters Flat near Margaret River (55 minutes), offering guided rides for beginners through to experienced riders. The Nannup Caravan Park and surrounds offer horse-friendly accommodation options.
