Manjimup to Pemberton Section
Through the Tall Timber Country
About This Walk
The Manjimup to Pemberton section of the Warren Blackwood Stock Route takes riders through the heart of karri country β some of the tallest hardwood forests on Earth. This approximately 80-kilometre section passes through diverse landscapes including farmland, state forest, and magnificent stands of karri trees soaring to 60 metres and beyond.
The route winds through the timber heartland of the South West, following historic droving tracks that once connected the region's sawmill towns. Two to three equine-friendly campsites provide rest stops with horse yards, and the trail passes through some of the most spectacular and remote forest scenery accessible on horseback.
Manjimup is the region's service centre with full supplies, veterinary services, and horse-friendly facilities. Pemberton, at the section's end, offers heritage accommodation, the iconic Gloucester Tree, and connects to further sections of the Stock Route heading south towards Walpole.
